Ask a model that never leaves the machine.
This console speaks to a model on your own loopback address — an NVIDIA NIM, Ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM. It does not proxy through any server, including the one that served this page. If your browser will not permit the connection it says so precisely, and says why, rather than falling back to something remote and not mentioning it.

If it cannot say which source an answer came from, it should not give the answer.
The runtime gate
Every answer is checked before you read it.
A local model is still a language model. It will produce a number that looks like your number. So every response passes through a gate that pulls out each figure it contains and checks it against the set of figures the catalog can actually support — source counts, row counts, word counts, byte sizes, digests. Anything unsupported is marked in the answer, not silently accepted.
What the gate can catch
A figure that appears nowhere in the catalog. A source name that is not in the catalog. A claim that something may leave the device when its record says otherwise.
What it cannot
A well-formed sentence that is wrong without containing a number. The gate is a check on arithmetic and naming, not a truth oracle, and saying so is more useful than implying otherwise.
